Palustris Environmental biologists have been a respected partner of the oil and gas industry since the introduction of unconventional well drilling within the Marcellus shale basin of northern Pennsylvania in 2008 and has continued with the rise of the Utica in 2012. The Appalachian basin consists of many different habitats with a diverse set of flora and fauna depending on your location within the different shale plays. Our experience and technical expertise with diverse habitat and environmental regulations throughout the Appalachian basin provides a confidence to our clients that their projects will receive environmental approvals without delays.
Palustris Environmental biologists have permitted approximately 150 miles of lateral/gathering/water/midstream lines, 60 miles of access roads, and hundreds of natural gas well pads. Additional services to the oil and gas industry include water withdrawal permitting, mussel bed monitoring services, pipeline route development, endangered species habitat management plans and bat box installation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and natural stream restoration design and permitting.
